Our Boat

At Whiplash Fishing Charters, we are proud to offer our customers the best fishing experience possible. That’s why we use only the best boats and equipment. Our  22′ Pathfinder Tournament series boat is perfect for inshore and nearshore fishing. It is powered by a Yamaha F250 engine, which gives it plenty of power to get you to the best fishing spots quickly and safely.

Our boat is also equipped with a variety of features that make it ideal for fishing, including:

  • A spacious deck with plenty of room for anglers to move around
  • A state-of-the-art fishfinder and GPS system
  • Minnkota Trolling motor
  • A livewell to keep your bait fresh
  • A cooler to keep your drinks and snacks cold

We had the pleasure of booking a trip with Whiplash Charters and had an incredible fishing trip! Caught flounder, trout, and bass, and the Captain even cleaned the fish for us. Owned and operated by CPT Mike, Whiplash Charters provides a wonderful day trip for Tybee guests. Novice or experienced fishermen will enjoy their day out on the backwaters around Tybee and Savannah. From his knowledge of the local waters to his pristine boat, CPT Mike provides a great experience for all. At the end of the trip, all fish are cleaned and prepped by CPT Mike himself. This is an absolute must!

Mike was the man. Excellent fishing trip, we caught almost every species of fish that we could have on this trip. He cleaned the flounder and red fish that we kept. Very positive and entertaining and all around great time. Highly recommend Mike he will put you on the fish!

This is the guy you want to take you out on Savannah's waters. Mike's passion for his craft and his hometown waterways is beyond question. Fishing; bonding the young and old since time began. Capt. Mike helped in a big, big way installing the love of this sport in my kiddo, vs that online gaming thing. We could not be more grateful for his expertise and great spirit. By far one of the best times we have had out fishing. Mike was awesome and knew exactly where to put us on the fish. We planned this trip very last minute right before a holiday and Mike was able to make the trip happen! Needless to say this was the spotlight of our trip to Savannah and we hope to do it again in the future.

Captain Mike gave us a fantastic time and a great memory. He put us on the fish, and was incredibly kind / patient with the 2 young boys we brought on the trip. This will be our first call when coming back to fish again. Can’t wait!

Thanks again Mike for all the hard work you put in on such a hot day. Captain Mike put us on fish, and we had a good time with Dave clearing out all of the sharks so Andrew and I could catch trout reds, and flounder. Mike is an excellent captain and we will certainly be using his services again.

My wife, baby, and I fished a cool February morning with Captain Mike. We had a great time, got on several fish which was awesome considering the conditions. We even got a surprise flounder! Mike is a great captain, very friendly, knowledgeable, and cares about his clients experience.
